Liz’s Career Journey.
Hi there, I’m Liz Traines, a certified career and performance coach who empowers leaders and business owners to build authentic, fulfilling and financially rewarding careers (& lives) they love. I do this through private coaching programs, group workshops, corporate trainings, speaking and consulting. I love what I do and the life I’ve built for myself. But there’s been quite a journey that’s led me here…
Prior to starting my own business, I spent almost 10 years in corporate finance at Accenture. The first few years there were tough; I experienced perpetual burnout, intense anxiety, imposter syndrome, paralyzing perfectionism and eventually, feeling completely lost at work (and in my life). I worked so hard, but wasn’t getting promoted and I didn’t know who I was or what I wanted.
I couldn’t live like this anymore… I knew that a better life had to exist, but I had no idea where or how to find it.
So I set out on a journey to figure it all out, in hindsight, it was my own personal development side-hustle. From volunteering on a Northern California vineyard to starting a journaling practice, going to therapy, and reading many personal development books, I not only figured out what I wanted to do with my life, but I simultaneously transformed my mindset and lifestyle. I’m now living in a way that’s aligned with my values, strengths, interests and purpose. I found my version of success!
With the vast repertoire of skills and experiences that led to me truly feeling grateful and fulfilled, I decided to leave my corporate career, earn my coaching certification and pursue a career in helping others discover their own purpose, potential, and authentic version of success.
Now, a few years into my business, friends and clients have come to me looking for help building and growing their own businesses in sustainable, authentic ways. I couldn’t say no to something I also feel super passionate about, so I expanded my services to help business owners live the lives they want, while growing lucrative businesses they love. It’s been an exciting and rewarding journey that continues to evolve.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me hosting “make your own pizza” dinner nights (while drinking wine), playing with my favorite pup, Stanley, reading the latest Brené Brown book, or of course getting in my good dose of Billions (Wendy Rhoades is my idol:)). Please come say hi.
